Job Description
Prestige Staffing is currently seeking a motivated individual with an interest in woodwork and joinery for an Apprentice Carpenter role. This 4-year apprenticeship offers the perfect opportunity to gain hands on experience. Working with experienced professionals you will build a strong foundation in the building and construction industry, gaining valuable knowledge and experience that will set you up for long term success in the trade.
Your responsibilities in this role would include:
- Assisting experienced carpenters in various construction projects.
- Learn and apply fundamental carpentry techniques, including framing and finishing.
- Develop skills in accurately measuring, cutting, and shaping wood.
- Learn to interpret construction blueprints and follow project specifications.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines on construction sites.
- Work collaboratively within the team to achieve project goals.
- Genuine passion for woodworking and carpentry.
- Strong work ethic & attention to detail.
- Physical fitness & ability to lift to 20kg.
- Basic knowledge of carpentry tools & materials.
- A driver’s license.
- A White Card.
