Job Description
About the Role: As a Child Contact Worker, you will facilitate supervised visits and changeovers between children and their parents in a safe, supportive environment. This role is key to ensuring positive outcomes for children while supporting families to move towards independent arrangements where possible.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Supervising and facilitating child contact visits and changeovers
- Supporting children’s emotional and physical safety at all times
- Communicating effectively with parents, carers, and stakeholders
- Maintaining accurate case notes, records, and reports
- Liaising with legal representatives and other professionals
- Contributing to court reports and documentation where required
- Qualification or experience in Community Services, Social Work, or related field
- Must have Victorian Working with Children Check
- Current Police Check – Or willing to obtain
- Experience working with children and families (highly regarded)
- Strong communication and conflict management skills
- Understanding of family violence, risk assessment, and child safety
- Ability to work both independently and within a team
- Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel
