The Opportunity
Reporting to the College Principal, the Director of Business Operations is a key member of the Executive Leadership Team. It provides strategic oversight of all non-academic areas of the College, including:
- Finance and commercial management
- Corporate services, risk, compliance and governance
- Human Resources and organisational culture
- Property, facilities and ICT strategy
Key Responsibilities
- Lead planning and delivery of business and operational strategies.
- Serve as Company Secretary, ensuring sound governance and compliance.
- Oversee financial management, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Provide high-level advice to the Principal and College Board.
- Manage HR, culture and wellbeing programs across the organisation.
- Drive capital works, ICT improvements and campus development.
- Embed best practice in risk, OHS and compliance frameworks.
You’re a strategic and people-focused leader who can balance commercial performance with integrity and care. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are motivated by both purpose and results.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Law, HR or a related discipline
- Membership with CPA, CA or IPA
- 5+ years’ senior leadership in operations, finance or corporate services
- Strong governance, risk and compliance experience
- Proven financial acumen and strategic insight
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience in education, not-for-profit or faith-based sectors
- Knowledge of VRQA and Child Safe Standards
