About the Role We are seeking a motivated and reliable Machine Operator  to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring, sampling, and adjusting high-tech colour sorting machines used to remove foreign matter and visual defects from the main product stream.
Your key objective will be to maximise throughput while minimising waste, ensuring the highest standards of product quality are achieved. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and sample colour sorter quality, adjusting machines as needed to maintain performance.
  • Record and report all sample data accurately using digital and paper-based systems.
  • Perform cleaning and basic preventative maintenance to ensure optimal sorter operation.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following scheduled cleaning routines.
  • Report any maintenance issues or equipment faults immediately to the Shift Supervisor.
  • Regularly check and change reject bins/pallets as required.
  • Complete downtime logs and other required reports in a timely manner.
  • Follow all company safety policies
  • Forklift Driving duties as required

About You The ideal candidate will be dependable, proactive, and capable of working independently or as part of a team. You should be comfortable working in a dusty environment and standing for extended periods.
Essential Requirements
  • Current Driver’s License
  • Individual Transportation (reliable vehicle for shift work)
  • Valid Forklift Licence (LF)
  • Ability to work rotating day and night shifts.
  • Strong communication skills — able to speak, read, and write English to a high standard.
  • Punctual, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Sound problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.
