Position Overview:
This is a hands on leadership role, ideal for a skilled technician ready to take the next step in their career. As the Garage Door and Gate Team Lead, you will work primarily on the tools in the field, leading by example while supporting and guiding a small team of technicians. You will also collaborate closely with the Sales and Business Managers to ensure smooth job delivery and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform installation, servicing and repairs of garage doors and gates, including automation systems.
  • Lead and mentor a team of technicians while actively working alongside them in the field.
  • Coordinate daily job schedules and ensure timely completion of work.
  • Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and customer service.
  • Support the Sales and Business Managers with technical input for quotes and job planning.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues on-site.
  • Monitor team performance and assist with training and development.
  • Ensure tools, vehicles, and inventory are maintained and ready for use.
 
Skills & Experience:
  • Proven hands on experience in garage door and/or installation and servicing.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to guide and support a team
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
  • Familiarity with B&D and ATA products (preferred) and other garage door and gate motors/hardware.
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals and installation guides.
  • Current Drivers License (Mandatory)
  • Relevant trade qualifications or certifications (advantageous)
