We are currently recruiting for an experienced and detail oriented Inventory Controller to join a dynamic Mildura team. This role is essential in ensuring inventory accuracy, optimising stock levels and supporting operational efficiency across multiple sites. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on cost management, stock performance and overall business success.

About the Role:
The Inventory Controller will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods inventory. This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate stock records, improving stock turnover, reducing waste and addressing slow moving or obsolete inventory (SLOB)
You will support operational excellence through regular reporting, data driven insights, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Oversight
  • Maintain accurate inventory records across three sites
  • Ensure optimal stock levels to meet production and customer requirements
  • Improve accuracy of stock placement and allocation.
Cost & Efficiency Management
  • Monitor and reduce inventory carrying costs including storage, handling and wastage.
  • Implement strategies to minimise SLOB and non-conforming stock
  • Support financial performance by reducing write-offs and enhancing stock utilisation.
Reporting & Analysis
  • Prepare and deliver regular inventory reports highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Provide actionable recommendations and support their implementation.
  • Ensure high levels of report accuracy and timeliness.
Cycle Counts & Stock Takes
  • Lead regular cycle counts and periodic full stock takes.
  • Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies.
  • Maintain compliance with inventory control processes and accuracy standards.
About You:
  • Minimum 3 years experience in inventory control or similar supply chain roles.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret inventory data
  • Proficiency with inventory management software and ERP systems
  • Experience identifying issues and implementing improvements
  • Exposure to warehouse logistics – desirable but not essential
  • Strong attention to detail
