Our client is a trusted regional builder who delivers high quality private, commercial and industrial projects across the Mallee and surrounding regions. With strong leadership, clear communication and a hands-on approach, they deliver every project with confidence, precision and care and they are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Leading Hand Carpenter to join their team.

About the Role:
 In this hands-on leadership role, you will work alongside a team of skilled tradespeople, leading by example from project set out through to completion. You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out carpentry and general construction tasks.
  • Read and interpret plans and specifications accurately.
  • Ensure all work aligns with project requirements and timelines.
  • Coordinate daily activities to ensure smooth workflow and minimal disruption.
  • Proactively identify and resolve on site challenges.
  • Make informed decisions to keep projects progressing.
  • Provide guidance and on the job training to trade staff and apprentices.
  • Maintain high quality workmanship.
About You:
  • Qualified Carpenter with strong hands-on experience.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team on site.
  • Strong understanding of construction plans and specifications.
  • Excellent problem solving and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to Safety and quality workmanship.
Requirements:
  • Current Driver’s License
  • White Card (Construction Induction)
  • Physically fit and capable of manual work
  • Reliable, punctual and strong work ethic.
