Tankard Dental is currently seeking a Dental Receptionist to join their high-pressure, fast-paced team. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for assisting patients across all areas, including scheduling appointments, managing a busy phone line, maintaining active recall systems, and presenting financial treatment plan options — all while ensuring a high level of customer service in a demanding environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Open and close the dental office in accordance with protocol
  • Review the daily schedule for accuracy and distribute to treatment rooms as required
  • Schedule appointments to optimize provider chair time
  • Confirm next-day appointments, ensuring required forms are completed and attached to patient records
  • Maintain up-to-date patient insurance and private health cover records.
  • Monitor the short notice list to fill cancellations and no-show slots.
  • Collect payments at time of service
  • Prepare and explain financial treatment plans and payment options
  • Follow up on overdue accounts
  • Answer and manage incoming calls promptly and professionally
  • Greeting visitors and assist as required
About you
  • The ability to work in a fast paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites
  • Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Familiarity with dental software program.
  • Efficient scheduling and appointment management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Operating 6 days a week you (Monday to Saturday) you will work 38 hours a week. Working a rotating roster with the potential for early morning starts and late finishes based on scheduling as well as the occasional Saturday.
