Job Description

The Role:
You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and commissioning of HVAC&R systems across a variety of environments.
Key Responsibilities Installation & Maintenance
- Install HVAC&R systems including reverse cycle units, refrigeration systems, motorised fans, and cool room equipment
- Perform servicing, maintenance, and breakdown repairs on evaporative coolers, chilled water systems, and heating water systems
- Follow plans, specifications, and maintenance schedules
- Assemble and install pipes, valves, and fittings using various techniques
- Conduct pressure testing and system commissioning within licence scope
- Mark out penetrations and install ducting, piping, and outlets
- Perform general installation duties including cutting, drilling, welding, and assembly
- Liaise with schedulers, project managers, estimators, and other trades
- Maintain clean and organised worksites and return unused materials
- Complete timesheets, service reports, commissioning sheets, and permits
- Adhere to all required permit systems (Working at Heights, Hot Works, Confined Spaces, etc.)
- Provide guidance, training, and supervision to apprentices and trade assistants
- Contribute to maintaining high workmanship and safety standards
- Trade qualification in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration
- Current Refrigerant Handling Licence
- Restricted Electrical Licence
- Valid Driver’s Licence
- Construction White Card
- Ability to pass required background checks
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC&R systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- High attention to detail and professionalism
- Strong problem-solving ability and initiative
